| Musical Director, Charlie Lagond has worked as a professional musician for over 25 years,
performing around the world with artists including Chet Baker,
Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Bernard Purdie, Chuck Mangione, The
Jackson Five, the Temptations, the Spinners, Natalie Cole, The
Big 3 Palladium Orchestra and Kid Creole & the Coconuts,
with whom he has performed at several presidential inaugural
balls and at a Command Performance by request of Princess Diana.
Besides his performances and recordings with the above-mentioned
artists, he has performed in the Broadway productions of Dancin’,
Grease, Dream Girls, In a Pig’s Valise, and with Peter
Allen, and in the following movies: Against All Odds, Mr.
Write, Forbidden Dance, This Thing of Ours and The Chester
Story. He performed on The Tonight Show both with Johnny Carson
and with Jay Leno as hosts and co-wrote the theme for the
Sally Jesse Raphael Show. Charlie has also played in the New
York studio scene with notables like Mike Brecker, Randy Brecker,
Jon Faddis, Will Lee, Lenny Picket, Lew Solof and Lou Marini.

He received a Bachelor of Music
degree at the Eastman School of Music/University of Rochester
and studied privately with Joe Allard, Harold Bennet and Hall
Overton.
He has worked as a private instrumental, theory and improvisation
instructor for over 20 years and in conjunction with the various
schools in the Westchester region. He has been an instructor
for personal clinics with the Woody Herman Band, Bill Watrous
and The Manhattan Wildlife Refuge, as well as for the Jazz/Latin/Funk
Ensemble at the Music Conservatory of Westchester.
Charlie is a member of Local 802, WCSMA and IAJE.
