Summer Music Camp: Music College Prep Program for High School Musicians

FOUR WEEKS: July 9 - August 3, 2012   |   M-F 9am - 6pm

• Prepare for College/Conservatory Auditions and Prestigious Competitions

This four-week summer workshop, one of our summer music camp programs, is just for you. You will increase your musical proficiency in several key areas and will get a head start if your goal is to pursue a music education after high school. In addition, you will receive individual attention and guidance about selecting college audition material, admissions interviews, and the college application process. 

Sample classes include Groove & Rhythm Workshop, Improvisation, Music Theory/Keyboarding, Ear Training, Sight Singing, Review and Analysis of Musical Styles, Physical Conditioning and more. Students will get the opportunity to play in ensemble settings. Concentration workshops are available in Performance, Production, Singing, Songwriting, Composition, Arranging, and Writing for Musical Theater. Students will work side by side with visiting college professors and professional musicians.

Priced separately, our music production facilities and faculty can also be available to help you create CDs and videos for your college admission screening and scholarship applications, as well as competitive auditions.

Application Deadline: Interested students should apply as early as possible, as enrollment will be limited to 20 students. A live audition is required for admission.

Tuition: $4,500
Tuition includes prepared, healthy lunches daily, and a limited gym membership.

Financial aid is available for qualified students.
