Chris Anderson (Bass/Songwriting)

Chris Anderson is a graduate of the Hartt School of Music with a BM in Music Production Technology and received a masters degree from the Conservatory of Music at SUNY Purchase in Jazz Performance Double Bass.

As both an electric and upright bassist he has toured the US/Asia/Europe with a wide breadth of songwriters including Ingrid Michaelson, Burlap To Cashmere, Rachel Platten and A Great Big World. His playing can be found on numerous television and radio broadcasts as well as dozens of recording sessions resulting in over fifty album credits spanning jazz and popular music.

As a songwriter, Chris released an album with 2013 under the name Whiskey Heart, co-writing and producing with Rebecca Haviland. That project is currently touring the US, and has opened for many big acts including Roberta Flack, Southside Johnny, and James McCartney.

As an educator, Chris has been a teacher at the Lagond School Of Music (2005-present), a progressive school dedicated to the idea of preparing musicians for the real world. He has also taught studio composition masters classes at The Conservatory Of Music SUNY Purchase, beginning in 2014.
